Education : Class of ’85 Northwest High School Alumni, James continued his education and graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2016 with his Masters in Divinity. He continues his education at Wesleyan University in pursuit of a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in transformational leadership.
Professional Experience : Jackson served on the Indianapolis Police Merit Board from 2012-2015 and currently is in his second term on the board of Indiana Civil Rights Commission. He is the director of the far east side action coalition, a former member of the board for the community alliance of the far east side (CAFE), and the President of Fervent Care Childcare and Christian Academy. He is the founder of Clean for Green, mentoring and employing Indy youth in the far east side community.

Lead pastor of Fervent Prayer Church, a Far Eastside church he founded in 1995.
